Lenovo on Monday announced the upgraded version of the Vibe K5 Plus with improvement over specifications and new UI, while the price tag remains the same at Rs. 8,499. The device will directly compete with Xiaomi Redmi 3S which is scheduled to announced on August 3rd in India.

The new Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch Full HD display and has dual SIM support. For faster performance, there is a Qualcomm 64-bit Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM, compared to 2GB of its predecessor. It has 16GB on-board memory and the secondary storage can be extendable up to 128GB using a microSD card. The 2GB version was limited to support 32GB microSD card.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Lenovo custom UI on top which provides almost stock Android experience. On the cameras front, there is a 13-megapixels camera on the back accompanied with a 5-megapxiels selfie camera. There is a 2750mAh battery support and has various connectivity features like 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG and GPS.
Price in India: The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes in Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Graphite Gray colors and is priced at Rs. 8,499.
