Intex on Friday launched its latest budget smartphone running on Sailfish OS 2.0, the Intex Sailfish OS 2.0. The device was first showcased at the MWC held earlier this year. The Aqua Fish was first expected to launch in April, but due to certain factor the launch was delayed. Today Intex has made the device official for the India market for Rs. 5,499. It has dual SIM support and flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 (MSM8909) processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU and 2GB RAM.
Like the various entry level devices, the Intex Aqua Fish also includes 16GB of internal storage which can be further extendable using a microSD card. There is an 8-megapixels front facing camera with LED flash and is accompanied with a 2-megapixels camera on the front above the screen.
It is powered with 2500mAh battery on the back and has various connectivity options like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It measures 142.4 x 72 x 9.6mm and weighs 150g.
