After releasing Android 7.0 Nougat developer preview 4 last month, today Google has released final developer preview for various Nexus devices. The stable Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update is expected to hit various Nexus phones in Q3 2016 i.e. somewhere in September. Google will also announce its next generation Nexus smartphones which runs on Android 7.0 out-of-the-box.
The latest developer preview doesnâ€™t brings much change over the previous version apart from bug fixes and performance improvements. The latest preview also consists of minor stability issues and other bugs in multi-window, camera, DND, and Vulkan.
â€œThis preview gives developers the near-final system updates for all of the supported preview devices, helping you get your app ready for consumers,â€ said Google.
The final Android 7.0 Nougat Developer Preview 5 is now available to download for various Google devices including the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Pixel C, and General Mobile 4G (Android One). Those users who have already in the Android Beta Program will get the update right away while others need to register themselves to receive the update via OTA.
