Reports of this week reveals that Nokia is about to release two new Android-based smartphones into the market. Before this, there were already rumours that Nokia will soon enter into the smartphone industry by launching couple of Android-based devices. The new Nokia devices will be manufactured by Foxconn while the marketing & distribution work will be performed by HMD Global. Both the devices will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with Nokia Z launcher UI on top.
Both the devices appeared in the leak will differ in size, first one features 5.2-inch display while the other will have little larger 5.5-inch display. Both models will use 2K screen resolution and runs on Android N.
Just similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, the new Nokia smartphones comes with IP68 Waterproof and Dustproof protection. Both the models will be powered with 2.1GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and feature an all-metal body.
As of now, this are the only specifications leaked regarding Nokia upcoming Android smartphones. Coming to the release date, there is no official date revealed but just like the Nokia N1 Tablet, the new smartphones will be also announced first in China followed by other International markets. This devices are said to be priced around 3000 Yuan (approx. $450 / Rs. 30,000). Stay tuned as weâ€™ll update once it goes official.
