Samsung already started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for its flagship devices, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in Europe. The update was pushed via OTA on January 17th and full firmware is already available for download for those who looking to update manually.
The Korean Giant also made official the release timeline of various other Samsung Galaxy smartphones which are confirmed to get Nougat update. Devices namely Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy Tab A, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3, and Galaxy A8 will start receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update from the first half of 2017. Apart from the above list, there are several other Galaxy A and J series smartphones which are also expected to receive Android 7.0 update. But the timeframe for these devices will be second half of 2017. These devices were announced in 2016 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
